Brain

New Features

  • Added an option to use laser-based odometry.
  • Added support for requesting history data of the path the robot has traversed.
  • The navigate/pipe/navigate_to task is now available from the cloud, enabling autonomous robot navigation through water park slides using Path Matching SLAM, which localizes the robot in real time by comparing its movement against a pre-recorded reference path.

Improvements

  • Improved navigation to stair and slope maps: the robot should now orient itself correctly before the stairs.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a bug in diagnostics publishing which caused the diagnostics in the cloud to show "heartbeat missed" even if the robot was perfectly operational.

X30

New Features

  • X30 now automatically switches between normal and stair gaits when changing to and from stair and other map types.

Improvements

  • Increased autonomous navigation speed.
  • Made slowdown zones larger. The robot should now move slower in regular corridors and faster when it has plenty of space around and ahead.
  • Added a diagnostic for gait suitability versus the current map type.
  • More accurate odometry.

Bugfixes

  • Gait will now remain the same after a charging task.
